Diary a Dieter

Gotcha!

Hubby and I are on an ideal protein diet for almost three months now. Carb-laden goodies are, therefore, a no-no. The other night, I sneaked in a piece of chocolate chip cookie and hid it inside the fridge.

When I opened the fridge yesterday morning looking for my "hidden treasure", I found this note written on the wrapper from my hubby.

Lunch

Yesterday, I bought healthy goodies at Whole Foods. I had salad (broccoli with walnuts, spicy tofu, blackened tofu, cucumber and onions) for lunch and Arctic Zero, a low-carb, fat free and low calorie ice cream. Dieting can be fun!

È squisito!

I love Italian cuisine.  The rich taste of the sauce, meat, cheese, garlic, olive oil, basil and pasta always makes me crave for more. 

Italian desserts are also one of the best.  My favorites include the creamy gelato, neapolitan ice cream, chocolate ricotta cheesecake and the tiramasu cake that is awesome .  There are different versions of the tiramisu.  Some are done sweeter, and there are others that have stronger rum taste.  All them have one thing in common: after one slice, I always say, "Ancora un pochino, per favore!"

Coping with Bladder Problems

One of the problems our elderly face is the loss of bladder control or incontinence.  Good thing that we now have the adult diaper.  It is more absorbent than the regular cloth underwear, and thus, keep the person drier with less irritability on the skin.  It is thicker but comfortable, biodegrable and, therefore, can easily be disposed of,  and most of all, cost-efficient.  

Wrong

During the Yankees and Red Sox game last Wednesday, the usually calm and collected Joe Girardi lost his cool as he confronted the umpire.  What could've gone wrong in the game ?
