Holy Spirit Rain Down

"Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
and kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created.
And you shall renew the face of the earth."

Going Wireless

Imagine the convenience we enjoyed when we got the TV remote ? We were able to change channels while moving freely around the room. Now comes the wii remote controller designed similar to that of the TV remote. Wii players can easily push the buttons with only one hand (just like texting); and because the gadget is wireless, there is freedom of movement around the room while playing instead of being stuck in front of the monitor and no hassles of tripping on the electrical cord.

Healthy Heart

I was having problems with my blood pressure a couple of months ago so that I had to take regular visits to the doctor. My cardiologist advised that I need to change my eating habits and get into an exercise regimen in order to lose weight, and thus, control my blood pressure.

In two weeks, I will have my check up again and I am sure the doctor will be amazed to see a healthier me. For two months now, hubby and I have been on the ideal protein diet. Our healthier lifestyle (diet and exercise) have resulted not only in weight loss but a reduction in my blood pressure. I am sure my doctor will be happy to see my ekg and physical examination results.

Gentle Shepherd

"Jesus , gentle Shepherd
Bless thy lamb today
Keep me in Thy footsteps
Never let me stray.
Guard me through the daytime
Every hour, I pray
Keep my feet from straying
From the narrow way."

Sundown at the Lake

It was a gloomy afternoon but the sun's reflection on the lake still turned out to be beautiful.

Im-purr-fect

I am not a cat person. I never had any fondness for feline creatures even as a kid. When I was younger, we had dogs at home and I loved them.

My friends who are cat lovers swear their pets are lovable, behaved (compared to dogs) and require less maintenance. True or not, they cannot convince me of having a cat at home. I hate seeing cat hair in curtains, the furniture- anywhere in the house. I hate the smell of their urine, even when a cat urine odor remover can do wonders in getting that stinky smell out. Well, I am just 'allergic' to these fascinating creatures so that makes me cringe at their sight.

Oh Happy Day!

"A world without Sabbath would be like a man without a smile,
like a summer without flowers, and like a homestead without a garden.
It is the joyous day of the whole week."

Drive Safely

Driving in the pouring rain is a challenge, more so when the heavy rain is coupled with thunder, lightning and strong winds. Earlier this afternoon, Palm Beach and Broward counties experienced severe thunderstorm. I was glad it was a non-working day for me and I was at home. Driving in the heavy rain is difficult but it is nothing compared to snowy, icy or muddy roads. We have heard or read in the news about vehicular accidents happening during these extreme weather conditions. Good thing there's the tire chain. It gives extra traction needed in snowy, icy and muddy roads.

My New Home

Three weeks ago, we transferred to Boca Raton. I love our new home because the place is very quiet and private. Most of all, there is a lake behind our backyard and when the sun sets, the reflection of the sun on the water reminds me of the movie, "On Golden Pond".

Outside our patio is a tall mango tree. A long-time resident of the subdivision said that it is the only mango tree in the subdivision. Since it is still mango season, the tree bears a lot of fruits.

As I am writing this post in this peaceful and quiet Sunday afternoon, I can see the ducks having their afternoon swim on the lake.

Have a restful Sunday! Enjoy the remaining hours of your weekend.
