Touring Ft. Lauderdale's Waterways

Our Weekend Memoirs

How did you celebrate Easter Sunday? Today, I went on an intracoastal cruise around Ft. Lauderdale. Nicknamed the "Venice of America" because of its broad and elaborate canal system, Ft. Lauderdale is a major boating hotspot.

Here's why.....

Let's go on a water tour

cruising on an Easter Sunday

enjoying the morning breeze

heavy traffic on a Sunday

enjoying the sunny day

even the canine goes a-cruisin'

waterfront dining at Coconuts Bahama Grill

Going under the bridge

this reminded me of Waterworld, the movie

Ft. Lauderdale skyline

a helipad.. a helicopter... all on a boat

big boat... small boat

mansions by the coast

water taxi

a cruise ship

Helping boats in distress
