Happy Birthday, Nanay!

Zenaida Tongson was born in Himamaylan, a small city in the southern part of Negros Occidental on December 21, 1932 to the late Raymundo T. Tongson and Irene Vallejera.

She's my Nanay. She turns 77 today (Philippine time). Yesterday, at around 8 P.M. (EST), my son informed me that Nanay was rushed to the hospital due to severe chest pains. As I am writing this post, Nanay is still in ICU. She is diabetic and her health is failing. The last time we spoke which was a week ago, she had been sick and very weak.

It is so hard to be away from home especially at her condition. I could've done more if I were there.

Please remember Nanay in your prayers.
