Wasted Time

Victor Hugo once said, "Short as life is, we make it still shorter by the careless waste of time." I plead guilty to that. Not only am I a procrastinator, I also lack discipline when it comes to prioritizing my activities and, sometimes, end up spending my precious time doing extra-curricular activities which can be categorized simply as "waste of time". I have exams in Probate Practice this coming Thursday. After class last week, I said to myself that I will spend the weekend studying for my exams and finishing my projects for Domestic Relations so that before Thursday, I won't have to stay up 24 hours preparing for my test. Well, as I am writing this post it is almost 6 o'clock, Sunday evening, and I haven't started reading a chapter yet. I have been sleeping with my book, notes and laptop since Friday but I have been very busy this weekend playing Home Inn, Cafe World and Mafia Wars. And this morning, I discovered a new word game called Word Party. If you're a Facebook fanatic, you know what am talking about.

Now that I am feeling guilty about wasting my weekend doing unproductive tasks, I have resolved to shut off the computer until am done studying tonight.

At least very honest ka. Wala naman masamang mag relax at maglaro kaya lang not at the expense of more important things in life. I pray that you pass all your exams and that you finish your schooling as per schedule. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

Good luck to you on your exams, Ms Ray. I find myself wasting so much time, too. But I do enjoy visiting such blogs as yours, which is never a waste of time! Salamat!

you are right. I know a lot of people staying too much in front of their laptop for facebook and other games. We should all learn how to prioritize and manage our time.
