The houses you see above are what we call mobile homes. They are prefabricated dwellings built in factories and transported to the place where they will be occupied rather than constructed on the site itself. Although they are affixed on the location, because of how they are constructed, these types of homes can be transferred from one place to another. Hence, if you own a mobile home and you want to transfer to another place, you do not necessarily have to give it up because you can move it. One thing that you cannot do in a traditional house.
With today's state of economy, a person looking to buy a house may opt for a mobile home which is cheaper compared to a traditional house but looks just as attractive. Here in South Florida where there are a lot of retirees and snowbirds, one can find beautiful mobile home communities catered to these groups.
