Masinop

Filipino: Masinop
English: Frugal

LOL!

When I was still in Hawaii, I had the habit of saving all our empty cans of soda and water bottles inside a trash bag. When I have collected a lot, I would bring them to the recycling center. Each can and bottle is worth 5 cents. Usually, I would get $25, sometimes, even more. I have eaten a lot of cheeseburger from Burger King from the money I earned. LOL!

wow, buti pa doon, napagkikitaan pala ang mga lata at bote. dito sa amin, pinipick-up lang ng township recycling namin every other tuesday. no incentive maliban sa magandang feeling na naging bahagi ka ng pagrecycle! hehe.

$25...pang-gasolina na rin yun!

Same here in Florida. We place our recyclables in red bins and every Friday, pini-pick up yan sa mga bahay. There are a few states na puedeng ipagpalit ang mga soda cans at bottles, like HI, CA, MN.

Dhemz, depende yan kung saang state ka ha. In Hawaii, they even campaigned for that. Dito sa Florida, walang bayad. We just give them our recyclables for free. They're being picked up sa mga bahay before Friday. Malalaman mo rin yan if meron dyan sa inyo kasi nakasulat yan sa bottle or soda can ang name ng state and if it can be exchanged.
