Health Insurance

Since I arrived in the U.S. two years ago, I have undergone two eye surgeries, I have been brought to the emergency room, seen by an internist, dentist, and a cardiologist. I can tell from experience that medical and health care in the U.S. is better compared to that in the Philippines, where I come from. However, health care in the U.S. is expensive which is why having health insurance is very important, if not, a must. Without health insurance, getting sick is a cause for financial stress and burden to the patient and his family. Thus, an uninsured individual receives less medical and timely care.

Considering the trips I have made to the doctors and the hospital, and especially the cost of my eye surgeries (albeit, from the best eye specialists), I am glad I am covered under the Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance of my husband.

Blue Cross Blue Shield has different kinds of health plans to fit a person's needs and is available in all U.S. states. It is wise to be prepared. Why not check what bcbsnc can do for you.
