Keeping Your Files Safe

I store most of my important information and pictures in my laptop instead of putting them on hard copy. In school, I used to write down my notes but later on opted to using my mini laptop because it was easier and faster to type my notes in class and I do not have to carry bulky notebooks and writing pad to school.

I keep two laptops: the mini notebook is for school while the regular laptop is for all-around use: blogging, surfing, storing pictures and other files, and all other internet activities. In order to safeguard my important documents and numerous pictures from being lost in case something happens to my laptop, I would transfer them to my external hard drive.

I found out that there is another way of storing or backing up important files, and that is through online storage. Some offer free storage for a limited space of, for example, 2 GB. Another unique feature of online storage is the ability to share one's files through the internet.

If you keep important files in your laptop, make sure you take good care of them by backing up or storing them in a safe place. After all, you do not want to lose them when you least expect it, do you?

That sounds really useful. I've lost important data on my computer on more than one occassion so this sounds like something I'd like to have.

Thanks for the tip.
