After a very long trip from Honolulu, Hawaii, we finally arrived at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We left the Honolulu International Airport around noontime yesterday (May 31) on a five-hour flight to Los Angeles, CA. From there, we took a three-hour flight to Atlanta, Georgia and then a two and a half flight to Fort Lauderdale. Because of the big difference in time zone between Hawaii and the mainland states, Banabear and I were able to take only short naps during our flights.
It is now 11:38 AM as I am writing my post but in Hawaii it is only 5:38 AM. It'll probably take us a couple of days to adjust to Florida time. I have noticed, too, that the weather here is warmer compared to Hawaii. Well, it's almost summertime and they say Florida is a lot warmer during this time of the year.
We just got settled in our motel room and banabear is resting. He is not feeling well because of a sinus attack as a result of the long flight. Tomorrow will be a busy day as we are scheduled to do an ocular inspection of a couple of houses around the Fort Lauderdale and the neighboring areas. We're going to temporarily rent a house which is accessible to my new school in the coming Fall semester. Banabear hopes that we can find one to our own liking within this week so that we can comfortably settle in to a real house.
