A week after we arrived in South Florida, banabear and I were, finally, able to find a house that we really like in Coconut Creek. However, it won't be available for moving in until mid to end of July. While waiting for our "dream house", banabear was able to find a beautiful temporary nesting place at Hillsboro Shores. It is near Ft. Lauderdale and the Dade and Palm Beach counties and about 45 minutes to Miami Beach.
Hillsboro Shores is a beautiful beachfront community in Pompano Beach. It is adjacent to the Hillsboro Inlet, home of the Hillsboro Lighthouse. The community is made up mostly of huge, beautiful single family homes and a few condominiums.
Standing on the dock at the condo, one can enjoy a picturesque view of the property, the serene blue waters and the the tall historic lighthouse. There is a gated beach access available only to the residents who want to enjoy lounging on the beach on a sunny day or on a clear afternoon.
