Special thanks to Mr. Chap of CHAP'S CORNER for sharing with me his ideas.
In an attempt to get to know you better and you getting to know me better, here are a few talking points...
1. Have you ever been on TV?
Yes, I was a member of the Ladies Trio in my church and we've performed on a Christian tv show.
2. Have you ever sung in public?
Yes, several times. In gradeschool, I was a member of the children's choir which became champion in the National Music Competition for Young Artists; in high school, I was also a member of the school choir. I was a member of the Ladies Trio in our church just before I left for the US last year. In Hawaii, I was in a musical play, "The Witness" (see picture).
3. Have you ever dyed your hair blond?
No, I haven't. A Filipino blond looks outrageously funny- unless she's mestiza -which I'm not. haha! I'd only look like an albino.
4. Have you ever eaten frogs' legs?
No, and I don't intend to.
5. Have you ever received a present that you really hated?
No, I love receiving presents. The fact that a person remembered me is enough to make me happy. It's the thought that counts.
6. Have you ever walked into a lamppost?
Not a lamppost, but I walked into a thick concrete wall inside the court staff room (back in the Philippines) and banged my face (I was looking sideways).
7. Have you ever cooked a meal by yourself for more than 15 people?
Yes, I've cooked breakfast for 15 or so people. Nothing special: just hotdog, scrambled eggs, rice, corned beef (I'm not a cook).
8. Have you ever fallen or stumbled in front of others?
Yes, I've fallen and stumbled a couple of times in public. I am a very clumsy person.
One embarrassing experience in college was when I fell down the stairs in the school corridor because I was reading the newspaper while walking. However, I quickly got up and tried to maintain my composure. My classmates who saw me said they admired how I handled myself in such an embarrassing situation. haha!
