Through the Storm

How do you weather the storms in your life? Do you buckle under pressure and break down in hopelessness? Or do you bravely face the storm with the belief that things will get better in the end?

I wish I could say that I have bravely faced all the storms of life. I have been through a lot and I thought my past experiences have made me become a stronger person. Such is not the case. There were a couple of times when I was on the verge of giving up.

What has kept me going ? I have a faithful and loving God who has never failed me up to this day.

During those stormy moments when I have been deeply hurt and let down by the very persons I trusted, when I feel alone and helpless, God listened to my prayers.

What have I learned from my experiences?
  • When facing the storms of life, reach out to people who can help you find the right direction.
I have been blessed with family and friends who showed me the Christian way to deal with trials. They've prayed for me and prayed with me. Their advises, based on Christian precepts, and their support helped strengthen me.
  • When facing the storms of life, never lose hope in Him.
The Lord is our strength and our refuge. He is there to protect us. Live in accordance with His will, follow His teachings and you will be guided accordingly.

The Lord's our Rock, in Him we hide,
A Shelter in the time of storm;
Secure whatever may betide,
A Shelter in the time of storm.
