Gimme a Break

It's a rainy Saturday evening and I am home alone. Bana-bear's Inspirations band is playing in a wedding reception somewhere in Waianae so I do not expect him to be back until after 9 o'clock tonight. I still have to do my homework for Law 101 (to be submitted online before 6 PM tomorrow) and Litigation but I've decided to put them off until later tonight (or maybe tomorrow) and give my brain a break. LOL!

I was up until 4 AM this morning reading and doing my assignments for my Legal Research class. I only had about two hours of sleep and by 6:30 AM I was out of bed getting ready for my 9 AM class. Today, we were taught how to use Westlaw, one of U.S.'s primary online legal research tools. The spirit was willing but the flesh is weak.; so eventhough it was an interesting hands-on lecture, I could not keep myself from dozing off in the middle of our professor's lecture because of lack of sleep the night before.

Bana-bear was so kind to bring me to school and wait for me for three hours so that he can drive me back home. I was, therefore, spared of more than two hours of travel by bus. Infact, it took us less than an hour to get home from school, inspite of the traffic in Honolulu.

I always look forward for Saturday afternoon, the 'official start' of my weekend, when I can take a break from my books and do the things that I love (like tinkering with my blog and grocery shopping with my hubby).
