Chocolate Martini

I am, or shall I say, I was, a teetotaller; neither am I a big fan of soda. When I got to the U.S., I was "corrupted". Bana-bear loves making cocktails, and he's introduced me to a couple of sweet tasting ones.

Being a chocoholic, my favorite cocktails are, naturally, the chocolatey-flavored. Chocolate martini tops my list.

Bana-bear and I discovered chocolate martini, specifically, Godiva Chocolate Martini, when we dined at Outback Steakhouse in Waipio. From then on, it became a favorite. I've also tasted Indigo bar's version of the Chocolate martini (they use creme de cacao), which is also good, but I still prefer the Godiva version.

We were able to get the recipes of both Outback's and Indigo's chocolate martini, which we've tried a couple of times at home.

Bana-bear's version is the best among the three.

Drink ingredients:
1 oz. vanilla vodka
1/2 oz. Godiva dark chocolate liqueur
1/2 oz. Godiva white chocolate liqueur
1/2 oz. iced milk

Coat the rim of a martini glass with powdered chocolate.

Mix all ingredients in a shaker. Shake, strain and pour ingredients into the martini glass. Sit back and enjoy!
