Stuff from Bacolod

Nothing tastes better than Filipino food. My friend, Daisy, who's also a kababayan (we both hail from Bacolod City), recently came back from her Bacolod vacation and brought with her some of my favorite foodstuff sent to me by my mother: home-cooked rellenong bangus (stuffed milk fish); kalamay hati (sweet jam made of ground sticky rice, coconut milk, brown sugar) made by my best buddy, Joehyda; bottle of hot sardines; cans of Victorias hot bangus in oil, Spanish style.

It's been a long time since I had a "real" pinoy-style home-cooked meal. And on a rainy night, having rellenong bangus and hot bangus on a plate of steaming rice is "heaven!"
